I remember that pro wrestler Mick Foley died in a cage match when WWE was WWF. The cage match was called Hell in a Cell and took place in the year 1998.

The match is on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R76l7F0rgAM

In the "real" version of events, pro wrestler Mick Foley was on top of the cage. The roof of the cage ripped and Mick Foley fell to his death. He was survived by his wife and children.

In the "current-fake" version of events, pro wrestler Mick Foley is thrown from top of the cage twice, but manages to survive.

The naysayers will say that I am mistaken, because in 1998 pro wrestler Owen Hart died when he was being lowered from the ceiling down in front of a live audience. The line "snapped" and Owen fell to his death.

I found two posts online who remember something similar.

Hmm I don't remember that. I was watching wrestling at the time. I've heard recently that Undertaker told someone to make sure he was still alive after being thrown off the top of the Hell in the Cell. In the match I remember the hooks start flying off as he and Undertaker are walking on the top of the cage which would cause them to fall through the cage. But thank God in this timeline Mick Foley didn't die. I loved Mankind and his book. Seems like a great guy who worked his ass off and did super dangerous things in wrestling to make up for the fact that he wasn't very athletic.

would cause them to fall if the hooks kept flying off and the structure failed*
