Whichever way you look at it, the Stephen Hawking story is incredible.

Playing the role of one of the world's most recognised - and influential - scientists, there are some saying it's for this very reason that he is not all he appears to be.

A brief history of Stephen Hawking

In 1963, at the age of 21, he was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) and given a life expectancy of 2 years. However, for some reason the disease didn't progress at the same pace it does in other patients, and remarkably he is still alive over 50 years later.

Some claim most people don't look to closely at Stephen, but when they do they see his appearance, despite his illness, has changed significantly over the years. They point to his hands becoming uncontorted, i.e. earlier photographs show the typical fixed abnormal positions they lock into, but later ones show them back to normal. In a similar way, his teeth seem to have changed significantly at one point, and that's despite him not needing any since he cannot eat orally.

Was this done to create a powerful global voice for the establishment to use when promoting various agendas?

A very useful science promoter

If there was an agenda which needed a world famous scientist arguing for it, such as global warming for example, Stephen Hawking would add a level of credibility which would be virtually impossible to achieve by any other means.
