Alive again?

The legend of Kirk Douglas is firmly cemented forever in movie history. Reports of his death saddened millions, especially when it was reported to be just days before his 101st birthday.

These reports were widespread, and the accidental release of an incomplete news video didn't help either.

However, some people were even more confused because they thought he'd died years before. Was this a false memory, confused further by the fake death reports? Or were people thinking the stoke he had in 1996 actually killed him, instead of mostly preventing him from speaking?

No, I'm Spartacus

He was born Issur Danielovitch on December 9, 1916, he appeared in over 90 movies ranging from westerns, historical epics, gangster thrillers through to playing Vincent Van Gogh in Lust for Life. His life wasn't without controversy, with notable incidents concerning Natalie Wood, his stand against the McCarthy blacklist and his reaffirmation of his original Jewish faith when he was involved in a near-death air crash. After his death in 2020, he left his entire fortune to charity and nothing to his son, Michael. He was a notable blogger, and in fact in 2008 was the oldest blogger with "celebrity" status online.

Kirk Douglas was always making generous donations to many causes, including schools and medical facilities.

The people who thought he'd died just before his 101st birthday would have been surprised to hear of his death in 2020, because he was 103 then. He was buried in the same plot as his son, Eric, who died in 2004 from a drugs overdose.
